The Market

The market was started in March 2020 and has grown to become an essential part of Herman’s. It’s a selection of our favorite things to eat, from the finest purveyors we can find. We strive to bring in unique products, not easily found elsewhere in the area.

Love chocolate? We carry over 100 varieties of chocolate bars from around the world and keep them stored year-round in a fridge set to hold an ideal temperature of 65 degrees so each bar is in pristine shape, the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

Do you enjoy Conservas? We stock over 200 varieties of the best tins of fish from all over the US and Europe. From charcoal grilled sardine loins from Gueyu Mar to the meticulously smoked salmons from Alaskas Wildfish Cannery. You won’t find a better selection in the city.

Looking for the finest pastas and tomatoes from Italy, we strive to carry nothing but the best of Italian imports. The dried pastas from Faella, Martelli and Gentile are exceptional and one of our favorite parts of the market and we have the finest tomatoes from Gustarosso, Maida, Valgri and more to serve with them. There’s also shelves stocked with premium shoyu’s and ponzu’s from Japan, assorted middle easter spreads and spices from Les Moulins Mahjoub and others, and the best jams and sweet spreads from around the world.

How about cocktails or mocktails? We have a huge assortment of bitters, syrups and mixers as well the largest selection of non-alcoholic wines and spirits in the area (well over 150 varieties).
